Huawei P30 Pro in a gorgeous orange finish leaks

first_img2:56 CNET may get a commission from retail offers. 0 Huawei P30 Huawei P20 takes terrific low-light photos The German site WinFuture shared this photo reportedly of the Huawei P30 Pro in orange. WinFutre Huawei made a splash in February with its foldable Mate X phone. It was instantly — and favorably — compared to the Galaxy Fold from Samsung. But it’s another Huawei phone that could be the real head-turner. A leaked photo published on the German site WinFuture on March 13 purportedly shows the upcoming Huawei P30 Pro in an eye-popping shade of orange. While the color could be considered red or orange, apparently it’s called Sunshine. Huawei is known for using vibrant finishes on its phones. But the color isn’t the only interesting thing we see in the photo: On the back of the phone is a camera array stacked with three cameras in the corner. There’s a separate fourth camera just below the flash. The P30 Pro is rumored to have a 7.8x optical zoom, which would be a first on a phone. Of course, we’ll know for certain about the cameras and the color at Huawei’s event in Paris on March 26.Huawei didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the leak.Originally published March 14 at 1:03 p.m. PT.Update, March 17: Add photo featuring the Huawei P30 Pro in Sunshine Post a comment Now playing: Watch this: How To • Huawei P30 phone announcement: How to watch, what to expect $534 Phonescenter_img Review • Huawei P30 review: The P30 Pro’s fantastic photos for less 8 Photos News • Huawei P30 Pro’s pop-out cam is powerful enough to shoot the moon Tags Huawei P20 Pro shows off its three cameras with four new standout colors Share your voice See it Mentioned Above Huawei P30 (128GB, black) Huaweilast_img read more

Houston Man Sentenced To 16 Years For Attempting To Assist ISIS

first_imgA Federal Court on Monday sentenced Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan — who was living in Houston at the time of his arrest in 2014– to 16 years in prison for plotting to leave the United States and join ISIS as a soldier and bomb-maker. According to court records the Iraqi-native was also trying to build a bomb for use in Texas. Share New images of alleged #Houston terror suspect Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan More on #KPRC2 @ 6p— KPRC 2 Houston (@KPRC2) January 8, 2016After federal officials discovered Al Hardan had acquired manuals on circuitry and military circuitry, a federal informant met with him 17 times and learned that he planned an attack on a military facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. The convicted man also discussed how a mall could be bombed with the informant.Judge Lynn N. Hughes, of the U.S. Southern District of Federal District Court said that lying in an attempt to obtain a passport so the convicted man could join ISIS as a bomb-maker and soldier, is why he determined the sentence of 16 years. Making claims on social media, having and ISIS flag in his home, watching training videos on how to build a bomb, and obtaining five cell phones to use in detonating bombs was not why he was giving the 192 month sentence, which is guidelines of 51 to 71 months.Al Hardan arrived in the U.S. in 2009 and got his green card in 2011. Federal authorities began monitoring his activities in 2012.The judge called the sentencing process, “almost mechanical,” and said his decision was, “cold, rational, and a fully informed decision.”last_img read more

Symphonies of Yore

first_imgCapital’s music enthusiasts got together to pay  a tribute to the yesteryears singing sensation Geeta Dutt on her 41st Death Anniversary at Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi. Team Svarpana, a Delhi-based group of 10 classically-trained, passionate music enthusiasts of all age groups and walks of life. Pawan Naidu, the fountainhead for the group designed this very presentation weaving the great singers’ story alongwith her songs. The rather melancholic life that she lead with untold events that marked her career and personal journey. The evening titled  Geeta Dutt…Aik Adhoora Sapna will have 17 ever  green, joyful and  melancholic songs of the veteran including  Ai Dil Muje Bata De, Babuji, dheere chalna, Koi  Chupke se aake,  Na jao saiyya,  Mera sundar Sapna beet gaya,  Vaqt ne kiya,  Janoo Janoo Re, Meri  jaan. These songs will be sung mainly by Shetal  accompanied by Jyoti and Stuti in duets – all classically trained singers. Also Read – ‘Playing Jojo was emotionally exhausting’When asked why a tribute to Geeta Dutt, Pawan replied ‘because no one remembers her,’ he has devoted 25 years to present a ‘no nonsense live concert of Geeta Dutt by a solo artist to make his dream come true. Who remembers that this week on July 20th was Geeta Dutt’s death anniversary?,’ he asks adding  that they had been  paying tribute to her every year since 2007 to packed houses across the country. ‘We have taken special care that the songs have same expressions as she would ingrain in her intoxicating voice. Since she was not deeply trained in classical, expressions dominated most of her songs which struck the right chord with all and sundry, everyone could sing her songs.’ Also Read – Leslie doing new comedy special with NetflixAdds Shetal, the lead vocalist for evening, ‘I read in Geeta Dutt’s blog maintained by her daughter in which she says that ‘no one pays tribute to my mother’ so she had prepared Pal a music CD dedicated  to her some time ago. We are trying to contact her to say that we have not forgotten her.’The evening is called Aik Adhoora Sapna to indicate at the loneliness the versatile singer lived almost all through her life.  Says Mr. Naidu, ‘Geeta Ghosh Roy Chowdhury,  a highly qualified woman hailing from an aristocratic zamindar family of Faridpur (before Partition) was at the peak of her career when she married Guru Dutt to become Geeta Dutt  –  then a struggling assistant to different directors. Dutt hailed from a Saraswat Brahman family and their union was a taboo affair in their families.’He adds, ‘If a person of Guru Dutt’s sensibilities could fall for Geeta Dutt, she must have had some tremendous qualities, yet he could not sustain respect for this relationship. He fell for Wahida Rehman, and Geeta was left alone’.last_img read more
